During this tour in the Paraguay River in the province of Cáceres, you will explore the best jaguar spots including the Taiama Reserve, a big river island of about 11,000 hectares that becomes an Ecological Reserve in the 1981 by the Chico Mendes Institute.
The environment is amazing, it is composed primarily by flooded fields, has in its interior a variety of aquatic environments, such as grass fields, forests, lagoons, streams and riparian forest, strongly influenced by the seasonality of the hydrological regime of the Paraguay River.
This location off the beaten tracks with high concentration of jaguars, offers the possibility to photograph lot of species in completely tranquillity in a wonderful landscapes, without presence of massive tourism, such as the endangered giant river otters (Pteronura brasiliensis).
Departure from the Cuiabá airport (or from your hotel) in the morning. We will drive for about 2:30 hours on a paved road then we will continue on an unpaved road for other two hours making stops to photograph wildlife such as hyacinth macaws, red-and-green macaws, owls, red-legged seriema, parakeets and more. Accommodation, dinner and overnight at Baiazinha lodge. (L-D)
Early morning breakfast followed by a speedboat safari in the Paraguay river exploring a big area situated around the lodge in search of jaguars, giant otters and other wildlife. Break for lunch at the lodge and again safari in the afternoon till sunset. (B-L-D)

The Baiazinha lodge is located river side the Paraguay river, south of the city of Caceres. The lodge offers very good accommodations with a/c and bathroom, swimming pool, common area and restaurant.
